Ingredients

rice
(jasmine works well)
4
cups
almond milk
(divided)

teaspoon
fine sea salt

cinnamon stick

cardamom pods

maple syrup
1/2
cup
raisins
1/2
tsp
ground cinnamon
1/2
tsp
of ground nutmeg
1/8
tsp
of ground cloves
Instructions
Wash and drain your rice thoroughly
In a medium saucepan add the rice, 3 cups of almond milk, salt, cardamom pods and cinnamon stick
Bring to a boil over medium heat and stir often
Once at a boil, reduce your heat and add the maple syrup, ground cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
Keep on low heat, stirring often until you see the milk is absorbed through the rice
Remove the cinnamon stick and cardamom pods
Add the last cup of almond milk and stir in the raisins
Keep on low heat until all the almond milk has been absorbed again
Serve either warm or cool with cinnamon or nutmeg sprinkled on the top
